From the 18th until the 9th December, Confidustria, the founding member of YES, organized the 2nd European Youth Entrepreneurship Conference, which took place in Rome, Italy.
The mission of the second EYEC was twofold. First, creating an opportunity of discussion for the various European Associations of Young Entrepreneurs aiming to creating a renewed, updated framework for the European Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs to contribute to “Scale up” European integration. Second, debating the strategies to let European companies really “scale up” and succeed in the today’s international market.
The goals of the 2nd EYEC conference were following:
To leverage on the momentum built as a result of the 1st European Young Entrepreneurs Conference held in Athens at the end of June and to set the 2015-16 plan of action and continued revamping of Yes for Europe.
To reflect, at the end of the term, on the outcomes of the Italian Presidency of the Council and the perspectives of the new EU Commission and its Startup Europe initiative, to comment on the recent results of the G20 Brisbane meeting and on the process moving forward under Turkish Presidency.
To allow a more integrated participation across Europe, by renewing commitment for a tighter bilateral and multilateral cooperation across Associations representing Young Entrepreneurs across Europe, signing the European Commitment in Rome by 12 countries .
To reflect, at the end of the term, on the outcomes of the Italian Presidency of the Council and the perspectives of the new EU Commission.
